For a relaxing b & b break Sundial House is perfect. We are situated in the Heart of Exmoor National Park.
We have four lovely en-suite bedrooms, all situated on the first floor that are furnished with quality furniture, crisp white linen, fluffy white towels, and complimentary toiletries.
We have one single room, one double and two twin/doubles, which we can configure to your needs.
In each you will find those extra special touches that make it feel like home; hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk, tv and wifi connection, fresh flowers, hot water bottle and extra blankets.
We also have a beautiful guest sitting room with wood burning stove, where you can relax and unwind at the end of the day. In summer our pretty garden is also there for your enjoyment.
Your stay starts on arrival with a traditional cream tea or a piece of our homemade cake and something hot. If you are staying more than one night we will provide afternoon tea each day on your return as a welcome treat after exploring the area.
Breakfast & Dinner
Breakfast and dinner are served in our lovely dining room with views of Dunkery Beacon and the countryside.
Breakfast - The day starts with a choice of fruit juices, a platter of fresh fruit and berries, grapefruit, prunes, cereals, homemade muesli, yoghurts, homemade compote, local exmoor honey.
Then choose something hot - A traditional full English breakfast, choose from all or some of the following - Local free range eggs. Dry Cured Bacon, Sausages and Black Pudding from our local butchers. Vine Tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.
Or have Kippers, Porridge or Smoked Salmon & Scrambled eggs.
Finish with toast and our homemade preserves.
Sometimes we have specials such as Eggs Benedict or American pancakes served with either with fruit compote/berries or bacon and maple syrup.
Our breakfasts are always cooked to order and normally served 8:00am - 9:00am, but we are always happy to fit in with your requirements should you need an earlier start.
We serve excellent three course evening meals, by arrangement. Everything is homemade from our Bread Rolls to accompany your starter to our IceCream to go with our gorgeous puddings. We are more than happy to accommodate any dietary requirements or to substitute dishes to suit your tastes.
Our three course fixed menu changes daily and is priced at £25.00 per person including coffee and mints to finish. For a small charge you can add cheese or if you don't have a sweet tooth you can have a plate of local cheese instead of pudding.
Although our b&b is not licensed you are very welcome to bring your own wine and drinks. Our local shop stocks a good range if you forget to bring any. We do not charge corkage.
If you wish to have dinner we need to know a day or two before or when booking. We do have days when we have a rest from cooking evening meals, but our lovely Village Inn across the road also serves food.
